I can’t believe that I have been living in London for 6 months. What an experience it has been?! I’ve gotten so many fantastic memories as a Londoner that I would never be without. This blog post briefly highlights some reflections about my time in London, what I still need to explore as well as some general recommendations for places worth a visit.
What I like about London
- London has a high degree of diversity
- London is a very historic city
- London is home to the British monarchy
- London does not only have one centrum but many distinctive neighbourhoods
- London is very welcoming because you do fit in
- London has exciting activities going on all the time
- London has several airports meaning that planes are flying over the city all the time, and I LOVE IT
- London is accessible due to an impressive network of public transportation
- London is bustling and people are generally walking 20 percent faster
“London has it all in just one city; politics (Washington DC), innovation (Silicon Valley) and finance (New York)”.
